I feel absolutely amazing!

Watch out guys, This is a VERY long entry. . . . CAUTION: read only at your own extreme boredom.

I left for St. Louis on Monday for the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Center) so that I could be processed into the Air Force.

I was a little on edge when my recruiter came to get me, and when I left on the shuttle. I didn't talk a whole lot on the way down there.

When I was still in my recruiter's (Sgt. Kelly Lomber) office, He told me he had a lucky system.

He takes your picture in front of the AF emblem on the wall, and you sign it when you come back from processing.

I thought I'd need all the luck I could get, soooo, why not!?

I got my picture taken as described, and loaded into the shuttle. I halfway slept almost all the way up there (I didn't sleep well the night before).

We all went on into the MEPS center, and we were taken almost immediately to take the ASVAB, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.

This was something I had king of mentally been preparing for for quite a while by this time. I wasn't really nervous, just tired I think.

Anyway, one of Sgt. Lomber's other recruits finished at the same time I did, and we both did amazingly well!

(High 90's if your really wondering. I'm not gonna put his score on here.)

Our recruiter was so proud of the both of us! He said that they were the highest scores he's had from his recruits.

So, my first day down there was amazing, and it set the standard for the two other days I would be spending out there.

The second day, was the actually processing . . . process . . . yeeaaaaa

Soooo, I got my blood pressure taken, depth perception test, regular vision test (I'm now medically proven to be blind as a bat, LOL), urinalysis, . . . . and they took my blood.

Was NOT thrilled about that. I almost passed out after it was done, but a really nice woman got me a glass of water, and then I started feeling much better again.

then . . . . it was the dreaded . . . PHYSICAL . . . *insert ominous and dark music/lightning SFX here*

That, also, definitely sucked . . . . ANYWAY, I won't get into that part. BUT when I weighed in, I WAS two pounds under my weight limit. That's something that I had been worried about, but it's all good now, and it came off without a hitch!

After all the medical stuff was done, I went to get my preferred jobs listed. OF COURSE Linguistics was my top slot! Unfortunately, they couldn't actually put it down until I took the special test for it, which I was scheduled to take the next day.

Soo, all I could do was wait and see if my score on the test was passing.

On Tuesday, I was in MEPS for FIFTEEN HOURS . . . to say it was a long day, . . . that would be an understatement, lolol.

The next day, I left the hotel on the designated bus, and I met *TNTMoof in the lobby of the hotel. She's awesome and extremely nice too!

I'm telling you guys, I met some really amazing people while I was down there. People who have been all over the world, or done things that people don't normally get to do. I met and talked to mostly Army, Navy, and other Air Force applicants like myself.

I got to the MEPS at about 4 a.m. . . . -_- . . . yeeeaaa

I was the first Airforce app. to get in line for the liaisons office, so I was first through the nasty paperwork >:D

After sitting around doing nothing, at about 9, I got to take my Defense Linguistics Aptitude Battery. I needed to get a 100 to actually get in, and I got a 119!

This is pretty much a dream come true for me. I'll be getting paid to learn and use a language, HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!

This euphoria's carried on throughout the day. You guys are getting a diluted version, however, lolol.

I'm winding down cause it's almost 1 in the morning, and I have to get up in a while and go to one of my best friend's house.

Well, I got back to my recruiters office, and he had me sign the picture of myself taken early on Monday.

Turns out, It worked wonderfully!
